All relevant carriers in the United States plan to launch 5G-enables smartphones, but for the time being, customers who want access to 5G speeds must purchase the Moto Z3 and the 5G moto mod accessory.

At least two other 5G smartphones are expected to make their debut in the US, Samsung's Galaxy S10 5G and LG's G8 ThinQ 5G. Both will come to AT&T and Verizon, possibly to T-Mobile and Sprint as well. However, Verizon's CEO Hans Vestberg was even bolder and confirmed a third 5G smartphone will be available on the carrier's network in the second half of the year – the Galaxy Note 10 5G.

The Verge reports the statement was made during the company's Q1 2019 quarterly earnings call and points out that two 5G-enabled Samsung smartphones will be available at Verizon, besides the LG G8 ThinQ 5G: the Note and the Galaxy coming this year will both have 5G.

Hopefully, by the time all these smartphones will be available for purchase, US carriers will be able to bring 5G service to more markets, even though it will take at least one more year for the technology to mature.
