The V20 is one of the not so many older flagships that received Android 8.0 Oreo in the United States, although not all carriers in the country released the update yet. One week after it kicked off the rollout of Android 8.0 Oreo for LG V20 in South Korea, Sprint picked up the update and deployed it to its customers.

Three weeks after Sprint LG V20 devices received the Android 8.0 Oreo update, AT&T has decided to offer its own customers the same update. The carrier refreshed the LG V20 support page to reflect the new change and added an official changelog that lists some of the most important new features and improvements included in the update.

Besides Android 8.0 Oreo, LG V20 will also receive the June security patch. A couple of other things are mentioned in the changelog as well, such as the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet) IOC2 and the changing of the Mobile Hotspot Access Point Name (APN), whatever that means.

The update weighs in at 1.7GB and it is distributed via OTA (over the air) in waves, which means it will take a couple of days to reach all LG V20 devices at AT&T.
