Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet just went official on the MWC 2014 in Barcelona. Just like the Xperia Tablet Z, the Xperia Z2 Tablet is water and dust resistant, with scratch-proof glass panels.

The Xperia Z2 Tablet packs a 10.1" Full HD (1920 x 1200px) display employing Sony's latest display technologies - Triluminos display with Live Color LED plus X-Reality mobile picture engine.

Sony has chosen the Snapdragon 800 chipset for the Xperia Z2 Tablet - it offers you four Krait 400 cores clocked at 2.3GHz, Adreno 330 graphics and 3GB of RAM. The internal storage is 16GB, expandable via a microSD card slot.

Xperia Z2 Tablet's camera department might seem the same - 8.1MP rear and 2MP front cameras, but the rear sensor has been upgraded with the latest Exmor RS sensor. Both cameras are capable of 1080p video recording, HDR capturing is available too.

The slate will be available in two version - Wi-Fi only and an LTE-enabled. The rest of the connectivity options include NFC, GPS with GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.0, IR emitter and microUSB 2.0 with MHL 3.0 support.

Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with the latest version of Sony's proprietary launcher.

Z2 Tablet will be available in black and white. It will hit the shelves this March, while the pricing is yet to be detailed.
