The Sony Xperia Z2 arrived with a splash at Mobile World Congress 2014, and now - weeks before its official release in early April - the first review of the handset has surfaced over in the UK. British phone store Clove has gotten hold of the Xperia Z2 ahead of everyone and gives us a 9-minute review of the upcoming phone, showing off its water resistance capabilities, snaps from the 20-megapixel camera and more.
The Xperia Z2 is a gradual improvement over Sony’s current flagship, the Xperia Z1. The Z2 features the same OmniBalance design language with the glass body and strict, rectangular shape. It’s slightly larger than the Z1, coming with a 5.2-inch display, but it’s not just display size that has changed -
Sony has also improved the viewing angles, and its Z2 does not wash out so terribly at an angle as the Z1.
Sony has also put in a slightly beefier system chip, the quad-core Snapdragon 801, and has allegedly made improvements in the low-light camera performance.
