Sony has already launched its latest the Xperia Z4 flagship smartphone, but the Japanese company is expected to release a few more mid-range handsets in the next couple of months.

The so called Sony Lavander leaked for the first time in early April, but aside from a few specs and the promised of more information in the future we didn't got anything else at that time.

Today, French blog Nowhereelse published the first pictures showing the alleged front panel of the Sony Lavander. While we can't confirm nor deny that these photos are real, they do confirm the fact that the mid-range smarpthone will feature a bezel-less display.

Still, the upper front part of the Sony Lavander does feature a front-facing camera and other sensors, which suggests that only the left and right side of the smartphone will have a very thin bezel.

Many bezel-less smartphones have all the components that are usually in the upper part of the display placed on the bottom, near the touch controls.

This doesn't seem to be the case here, but we will probably know more when the first official images surface online.
It's expected to arrive in June

Moving on to actual specs, sadly, we don't have any additional information other than what we have already learned last month.

This means that Sony Lavander is expected to ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system right out of the box. On the back, the smartphone is said to pack a 13-megapixel camera with LED flash, autofocus, video recording and Sony IMX214 sensor.

In the front there will be a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash for video calls and selfies. The Lavander will be powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor and 2GB of RAM.

There's no mention of storage amount or microSD card slot for memory expansion. We also know that the display will support full HD (1080p) resolution, but the size is unknown for the moment.

Sony Lavander is expected to go official, most likely under a different market name, sometime next month, but stay tuned for more info on its specs until then.
