Samsung just revealed that its next Unpacked press event will take place in Barcelona on February 24. That’s the first day of Mobile World Congress 2014.

The invitation to the event reads “Unpacked 5.” In the past, Samsung has announced new Galaxy smartphones during these events, so it kind of makes sense for us to expect a Galaxy S5 unveiling at the next Unpacked gathering, doesn’t it?

Last we heard, the new Galaxy S5 was supposed to come with a 5.2-inch Quad HD (1440 x 2560) display, Android 4.4 KitKat, 16MP rear camera, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB / 64GB / 128GB of storage space. It's said that Samsung would launch two S5 variants (but that isn't a surprise): one featuring a 64-bit octa-core 2GHz Exynos 6 processor, and another one powered by a quad-core 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 CPU.

Sure enough, we might see other new Samsung products in Barcelona, and not the Galaxy S5 - perhaps a Windows Phone handset, or new tablets with AMOLED displays.
