As expected, Samsung has taken the wraps off its new earbuds, the Galaxy Buds, and one of the best thing about them is that you can get them for free, but we'll get to that later on. For now, let's take a few moments and highlight some of the main features that Samsung promises to offer customers who buy its new Galaxy Buds.

First off, the Galaxy Buds are powered by AKG technology, the so-called Enhanced Ambient Sound that allows users to hear their surroundings very clear even while the buds are in their ears. It makes it easier to remain aware of your environment while still listening to their favorite music.

Also, the earbuds use something called Adaptive Dual Microphone, which is supposed to provide a clear voice in both lout and quiet environments. Besides the fact that they're cheaper than Apple's AirPods, they also offer a little bit more juice.

According to Samsung, the Galaxy Buds offer up to six hours of Bluetooth streaming, and up to five hours of calls, while Apple's AirPods provide up to 5 hours of listening time on one charge. On top of that, the compact case holds a charge for up to seven hours, while a 15-minute quick charge can give you another 1.7 hours of battery life.

Thanks to its device-to-device power sharing ability, the Galaxy Buds can be charged from a Galaxy S10, or you can use a compatible wireless charger. These are Samsung's first earbuds to feature Bixby integration, as you'll be able to activate the intelligent assistant with your voice to make calls, send text messages or check the battery life.

As far as the pricing and availability go, Samsung announced that the Galaxy Buds will be available for purchase for $130 starting March 8. The good news is that customers who pre-order the Galaxy S10 or Galaxy S10+ on Samsung's website will receive a free pair of Galaxy Buds (limited time offer).
