Two of the features that were only available in the Galaxy S9/S9+ and Note 9 are starting to appear on additional Samsung flagships. We reported last week that Samsung has pushed out an update to the Galaxy Note 8, which brought Super Slow Motion capture function for the camera, as well as AR Emoji.

Today, we have reasons to believe that the same two features are being rolled out to the Galaxy S8 and S8+ as well. A new thread on Reddit mentions that a new update that contains the September security patch will also add Super Slow Motion and AR Emoji.

The update weighs in at around 550MB and may also include device stability improvements and bug fixes, besides the new features already mentioned. Unfortunately for users in the United States, Samsung has started to deploy this update in Europe first, so it might take a while until it reaches devices across the pond.

The good news is the update will eventually arrive for all Galaxy S8 and S8+ devices, we just don't know when exactly and how long it will take for Samsung to make it available to everyone.
