Over the weekend Samsung teased the Galaxy On8, a stylish, powerful device aimed towards the Asian market. Today, the company has revealed the specs and pricing details ahead of the handset's roll-out on October 2nd.

The Galaxy On8 includes a 5.5-inch, 1080 x 1920 AMOLED display, the 1.6 GHz Exynos 7580 octa-core processor and 3 gigs of RAM. The dual-SIM handset boasts 32 GB of base storage that can be expanded via microSD (up to 256 GB), and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

Elsewhere, the Galaxy On8 includes a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash, f/1.9 aperture and 1080p video capture. There's a 5-megapixel snapper on the front for selfies. The 4G-capable handset includes VoLTE support, while a 3300 mAh battery keeps the Galaxy On8's lights on.

How much will this handset cost, we hear you ask? Well, it will launch this coming Sunday, October 2nd on Flipkart for Rs. 15,900 -- just shy of $240 in US money. Of course, while it's set for Asia, there's no reason why you couldn't import the handset if you like what you see. It may set you back more than the $240 equivalent selling price throughout India, though.
