After a previous leak revealed Samsung was returning to the horizontal camera setup in order to include a much larger battery, tipster Ice Universe now claims that he is “100% sure” the Galaxy Note 9 will include a 4,000mAh pack.

Recently, Samsung’s next flagship was rumored to include a battery capacity of anywhere between 3,850mAh and 4,000mAh but, if Ice Universe’s sources are correct, Samsung appears to have ultimately gone for the highest possible option. This should mean a significant boost in battery life over last year’s Galaxy Note 8 which included a pretty average 3,300mAh battery unit is to be expected. Additionally, the new power pack should help power the slightly larger display, that is rumored to sit at 6.4-inches in size, and all of the upgraded internals. Speaking of which, the specs are expected to resemble those of the Galaxy S9+. This means Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 will be present inside the US variant, while the international model will feature Samsung’s own Exynos 9810 Octa. Furthermore, the processors will be coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, although 64GB and 256GB variants are also a possibility. Also, Android 8.1 Oreo is expected to ship straight out of the box, although a speedy update to Android P upon its release would be a bonus.

On a final note, rounding out the package will be the camera setup that is currently set to include a variable-aperture lens on the rear along with a secondary telephoto lens, while, on the selfie side of things, an 8-megapixel sensor will likely be present once again.

Currently, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is set to be launched towards the beginning of August, on either August 2 or 9, with the unveiling event itself set to take place in New York and shipments expected to commence towards the end of the month.
