A few weeks back, rumors began circulating about a new premium device dubbed the Galaxy A9 Pro (2018). This offering, alongside a long list of other features, will sport a whopping four rear cameras, thus becoming the first device in the world to do so. Today, however, one industry source has come forward to confirm that the smartphone will not be launched as the Galaxy A9 Pro.

In actual fact, the upcoming offering will reach markets as the Samsung Galaxy A9s. Presumably, this name will be used across Asia but could potentially be simplified slightly or changed altogether for the European market. After all, Samsung currently does not offer any Galaxy A9 models outside of Asia.

Alongside this new information, it was also confirmed that Samsung was developing yet another Galaxy A series model. At this point in time, though, the precise branding of this device is unclear. Lastly, the source in question did back up PhoneArena’s recent exclusive by stating that the rumored Galaxy P30 would indeed launch as the Galaxy A6s.

The Samsung Galaxy A6s, A9s, and the third Galaxy A-branded device are all expected to go official on October 11, with initial availability being focused on China. Eventually, though, Samsung is expected to release all three offerings in other markets.
