Rumored specs for the HTC 11 include a 5.5-inch 1440 x 2560 display, and a 12MP rear camera

Now that the Chicago Cubs have ended their long drought and won the World Series, we get the feeling that anything is possible. Perhaps a company stuck in a slump of its own (one not as long as the Cubs' dry spell lasted) is ready to make a comeback. HTC might be the company to take advantage of any leftover image problem that affects Samsung after the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 fiasco. After all, HTC didn't miss knocking the ball out of the park by that much with the HTC 10.

So what is HTC planning for its next flagship model? According to a rumor that comes out of China, the HTC 11 will come with a larger 5.5-inch display, carrying a 1440 x 2560 resolution. We could see a dual-curved edge screen. A 12MP rear-facing camera is said to be on board with an 8MP camera in front for selfies and video chats.

We'd like to see HTC keep OIS on both cameras, stuff a 4000mAh battery into the device, and add an IP certification rating of IP67 to the HTC 11. We can't stress enough the importance of having a large capacity battery and the ability to withstand submersion in water. Add those two features, and perhaps HTC will turn things around next year just like the Cubs did this year.
