Although Ubisoft announced there won't be any Assassin's Creed games launched this year, it doesn't mean that fans won't be treated with small pieces of the action-RPG in the universe created by the French company.

We reported earlier this month that Ubisoft plans to launch a brand new Assassin's Creed game on mobile devices. Today, the studio confirmed that Assassin's Creed Identity is now available for download in App Store.
Unfortunately, there's no mention of an Android version at the moment, and a Windows Phone game would probably be out of the question at this time.
However, if you own an iOS device, then you will be able to revisit Renaissance Italy in this action-RPG, mission-based, loot-collection Assassin's Creed game.
Pick from three classes; play more to unlock a fourth Naturally, the gaming experience has been streamlined for mobile devices, as players will be able to pick from one of the three classes: Berserker, Shadowblade, or Trickster.
There's also a fourth class, Thief, which can be unlocked with Hero Tokens, but you will need a lot of those. Each class has its own unique outfits, which can also be unlocked as players advance into the game.
Ubisoft also confirmed that each class will eventually unlock different types of bombs like smoke bombs, splinter bombs and sticky bombs.
The game comes with a social feature that will allow players to use a Hirelings, which are basically other players' Assassins. They can be called on once per mission to attack or stun enemies that you would rather not deal with directly.
If you want to unlock the Thief class that we mentioned earlier, you will need a lot of Hero Tokens, which are the game's secondary currency.
Hero Tokens can only be earned through gameplay and can be used to unlock new locations, contract mission types and upper-tier character options. Keep in mind that you will start earning Hero Tokens once you finish the 10-mission introductory campaign, A Murder of Crows.
You can now download Assassin's Creed Identity for iOS for $5 via App Store. The game should be fully compatible with all devices running iOS 7.0 or later.
