Microsoft has just released a new update for the People app on Windows 10 Mobile, but as compared to the previous set of improvements, this new one only brings bug fixes and performance optimizations.

This is actually the reason the company hasn’t provided a change log for this particular release, as Microsoft offers release information only when the new versions bring something that’s really worth mentioning.
The People app also received a more important update not long ago, when Microsoft introduced the history tab, which allows you to see calls and messages that you sent and received to and from a specific contact.
The history tab is back The update was released when Microsoft pushed Windows 10 Mobile Redstone build 14267.1004 and is available to users from the store, just like today’s update.
“We’ve released an update to the People app that brings back the history feature. For a given contact you communicate with, you can view the interaction, whether by today, yesterday, last week etc. Right now, your Skype messages won’t show up in history yet but we’re working on enabling this in a future update. Also - we’re tracking a bug in which opening an email item in history might not take you to that specific email,” Gabe Aul, head of the Windows Insider program, said when the new build was rolled out.
Although the People app is universal, today’s update is not available on PCs, so only devices running Windows 10 Mobile are getting it. Previously, Microsoft tried to keep universal apps in sync on devices running Windows 10, but this update might be an exception for now.
Either way, Windows 10 Mobile users are recommended to get this update as soon as possible because it’s likely to fix important bugs and improve performance, so fire up the store and get it now on your phone too.
