OnePlus teased the Android Oreo open beta of the 5T a few days ago but didn't exactly said when the update will be available for download.

Well, if you have a OnePlus 5T, you'll be pleased to know the update is now live, so if you want to test Android Oreo before the final version gets released, you can now download this open beta build and flash it on your phone.

You should know that since this is a beta build, it's not as stable as an official OTA, which means you'll be exposed to data loss. Make sure you join OnePlus' open beta program before attempting to update to OxygenOS Open Beta 1 (Android Oreo).

Aside from the usual Android Oreo new features and improvements, the update includes the December security patch and a couple of other tweaks made by OnePlus:

Launcher

  • Optimized the app shortcut style;
  • Combine icon options with app shortcuts;
  • Now able to upload photos to Shot on OnePlus.

System

  • Added Picture in Picture;
  • Added Auto-Fill;
  • Added Smart Text Selection;
  • New Quick Settings design.

Keep in mind that once you flash this open beta on your OnePlus 5T, you won't be able to revert to an official build through another update, so you'll need a full install and clean flash.
