Oreo update for the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge spreads to more countries in Europe, arrives in Canada on June 11

A couple of days ago the Oreo update for Samsung's Galaxy S7 and S7 edge reached the Nordic countries, starting with Sweden. Today it's become available in even more European countries, with confirmed sightings in Germany, Belgium, and Spain.

Prior to these rollouts, the update was only out in the UK and South Korea. At this point Samsung's global rollout seems to be picking up some steam. The new release will hit S7 and S7 edge units sold in Canada starting on June 11. On the same day, the Galaxy A5 (2017) is getting Oreo in Canada as well.

The update going out in various European countries is the fixed one, that Samsung put out after discovering a serious bug in its original Oreo release for the flagship duo from 2016. The firmware version is G930FXXU2ERE8 for the S7, and G935FXXU2ERE8 for the S7 edge.

At the moment, in Spain this only seems to be going out to Vodafone branded handsets, but it's clearly only a matter of time until unlocked units get it too.
