Great news for fans of the Chinese company Oppo, which has recently unveiled a new camera-centric family of Android smartphones, as one more high-end device is about to make its debut on the market.

The Oppo R9 has just been confirmed by the Chinese OEM through a teaser image that's been published on the company's social networking channels.
The approximate translation of the teaser reads, “This time, it is worth and other ‘9’ point. #OPPO New camera phone R9 #.” We're not really sure what to make of it, but it looks like the next smartphone coming from Oppo is aimed at the high-end segment of the market.
On top of that, it will have an unusually good camera, which should put the Oppo R9 into camera phone category. Other than that, Oppo hasn't revealed any details on the R9's specs sheet, so we must rely on previous rumors that highlight some of the possible features of the handset.
Impressive specs “confirmed” by rumor mill First of all, Oppo seems determined to adopt the newest and most powerful Qualcomm chipset available on the market, the Snapdragon 820.
The powerful processor will be paired with a no less impressive Adreno 530 graphics processing unit, 3GB or 4GB of RAM, as well as 64GB of internal memory that can be expanded via microSD card slot.
Furthermore, the flagship smartphone is said to boast a massive 6-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution.
The Oppo R9 would also pack a 21-megapixel photo snapper on the back, as well as a 13-megapixel camera on the front. No additional details on any of the two shutters have been leaked yet.
Last but not least, Oppo R9 will come preloaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system right out of the box, and it will be powered by a 3,700 mAh battery.
