As expected, BlackBerry PRIV is among the first Android devices to receive the latest security patch, along with all compatible Nexus smartphones and tablets.

Google has already published this month's security bulletin, so we assume Nexus devices should receive the March Android security patch in the next couple of days.
However, if you own a Nexus device and don't want to wait for the OTA (over the air) to arrive on your smartphone or tablet, then you can now flash the corresponding image from Google's developers website.
Currently, Google has released factory images that contain the March Android security patch for the following devices: Pixel C (MXC14G), Nexus 5X (MMB29V and MHC19J), Nexus 6 (MMB29V), Nexus Player (MMB29V), Nexus 9 (MMB29V), Nexus 5 (MMB29V), Nexus 7 (2013, MMB29V), and Nexus 10 (LMY49H).
As you might have noticed, the Nexus 6P factory image is missing from Google's website, but we can safely assume it will arrive in the next several hours or so.
Along the Nexus devices mentioned earlier, BlackBerry PRIV is getting the same March Android security patch as we speak, so if you own the smartphone, you should be notified of the update soon.
One critical vulnerability fixed, many other security fixes As for the fixes included in this security patch, Google has announced that the most important one is a critical security vulnerability that could enable remote code execution on an affected device via multiple methods, such as email, web browsing, and MMS when processing media files.
Many other security vulnerabilities have been patched as well, but if you want more details on each of these fixes, you can head over to Google's March Android security bulletin.
Keep in mind that if you own another high-end Android smartphone released by a major handset maker, you will probably get the update this month.
