Reportedly given the code name "Kung Fu," the Motorola Moto M appears poised to be unveiled by Motorola. Based on the latest images, the new models will have a fingerprint scanner on the back which is a first for the manufacturer. The device will supposedly come out of the box with certain Microsoft apps pre-installed. The latter includes Microsoft Office, Skype and OneDrive. Earlier reports also claim that the Moto M, at least the version launching in China, will run on a stock build of Android.

The Moto M (XT1662) has already been certified in China, and features a 5.5-inch display with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. A MediaTek MT6755 chipset drives the handset, containing an octa-core 2.1GHz CPU and the Mali-T860 MP2 GPU. 4GB of RAM is inside, along with 32GB of internal storage. A 16MP camera graces the back of the unit, while an 8MP front-facing camera shoots selfies and handles video chats. A 3000mAh battery is in charge of keeping the lights on, and Android 6.0 is pre-installed.

The mid-range Motorola Moto M should be unveiled sometime before 2016 comes to an end.
