A new low-cost device is coming to T-Mobile very soon. The US carrier’s website already shows the phone in its entirety – it’s the Samsung Galaxy J7 Star. Back in February, Samsung patented the Galaxy J3 Star and J7 Star names. The “Star” will be a suffix to follow the model name like “Prime”, “Pro”, “Ace”… you get the picture.

Samsung Galaxy J3 Star arrived to T-Mobile in late-June. In fact, like the J3 Star, the J7 Star supports T-Mobile’s Band 71 which lets subscribers access T-Mobile’s 600 MHz LTE band, one that offers longer range and better in-building signals. The J7 Star also comes with NFC on board, something not too common in the midrange space.

Other specs include a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED display and 13MP main and selfie cameras. Powering it all is a 3,300 mAh battery and a 1.6GHz octa-core CPU. There are 32GB of internal storage for photos and apps and Wi-Fi ac is the standard here.

We still don’t know what the pricing will be, but based on the render’s date of Friday, July 13, we can imagine that we’d find out pricing and availability as soon as that Friday.
