It's only been a day since Motorola Moto X (2015) leaked in live pictures and people who published these photos claimed that the smartphone would come with a fingerprint scanner.

The statement was supported by the pictures revealed, so everyone assumed that the Moto X (2015) would indeed be packed with a fingerprint scanner.

However, things are a bit more complicated than it might seem at first glance. French blog Nowhereelse reports that the folks over at HelloMotoHK have published a new set of photos that show a Moto X (2015) without the rumored fingerprint scanner on the back.

The shell that appears in the recent picture leaked online shows a newer version of the Moto X (2015), whereas the previous photo was taken from a prototype unit that is no longer in the cards for release.

That being said, it looks like Motorola Moto X (2015) might lack fingerprint scanner after all. Still, since these are just rumors coming from various sources, we recommend our readers to take the news lightly until Motorola makes an official announcement.
Another Nexus phone made by Motorola? Yes, please

Moving on to the next picture leaked by HelloMotoHK, it looks like Motorola might build another Nexus smartphone for Google.

Even though rumor has it that LG and Huawei will, in fact, manufacture this year's Nexus phones, the photo leaked today is taken from an alleged Nexus smartphone made by Motorola.

As you can see from the picture, the mysterious smartphone features wireless charging, but apart from that, we know nothing else.

It's worth mentioning that this might be one of the smartphones that Motorola proposed to Google for the next Nexus device, but the search giant chose Huawei and LG's devices instead.

It's also possible that Motorola might indeed build a Nexus phone, as a third choice in case Huawei and LG don't get it right with their phones. We will probably find out more in the coming weeks.
