Those using the Microsoft Edge browser on their Android phones will be happy to hear that the app has just received an update that among other things, improves the performance of the browser. Yours truly has been using the Edge on phones like the Moto Z Force Droid and the Google Pixel 2 XL, and found it a little smoother (especially with pinch-to-zoom) than Chrome.

The update brings version 42.0.0.2313 of the browser to Android users, and the complete changelist is as follows:

- Quickly get to the What’s new and tips web page from the Settings and more menu
- See annotations you made in books (note: doesn’t apply to PDF free-form inking)
- Improved performance

If you already have the Microsoft Edge app installed on your Android phone, you can grab the update by going to the Play Store and tapping on the hamburger menu inside the search bar. Click on My apps & games and look for the Edge update. If it is there, click on the box marked "Update."

If you haven't yet tried out the Edge app on your Android device, you can do so by clicking on the sourcelink below.
