Microsoft Dogfoods Skype for Business on Windows Phone
Microsoft announced about two weeks ago that it had plans to replace Lync Online with Skype for Business. Aimed at those who want to communicate in an enterprise environment, the business application is still in beta and requires further testing.
Skype for Business is built inside Office, and those who are currently using Lync Online will get access to the new application in the coming weeks, Microsoft has confirmed.
Since the announcement of the new business application, Microsoft has stated that Skype for Business will be available on all three major mobile platforms: Android, iOS and Windows Phone.
True to its promise, Microsoft has already started dogfooding Skype for Business to Windows Phone users. Keep in mind, though, that the application is now meant for internal testing, so it might be affected by major bugs and issues.
Those who are into testing stuff may want to take that into consideration before downloading Skype for Business on their Windows Phone devices.
Speaking of which, you can now download Skype for Business for Windows Phone for free via Windows Phone Store. For the time being, the application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 8.1, so there's no support for previous versions of the OS.
