Unveiled back in October, Meizu MX4 Pro made its debut on the market two months later. Sadly, the Chinese company did not launch its powerful smartphone in too many countries.

Currently, the smartphone is very popular in China, but customers in other Asian countries have praised the Meizu MX4 Pro too.

Even though the MX4 Pro was initially launched with Flyme OS 4.0 based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system, Meizu promised that an Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrade would be available at some point this year.

And it looks like it took Meizu less than five months to launch the promised Android 5.0 Lollipop update, a new report confirms.

The update is now pushed OTA (over the air), in stages. Only Meizu MX4 Pro owners in China can download Flyme OS 4.5.1 based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, but it might arrive in other countries very soon.

Since the changelog of the update is in Chinese, we're not sure what changes it brings. Still, owners will definitely recognize the new Material Design concept, among other things.

The update is about 650MB in size and is available for download OTA (over the air) via Wi-Fi, so make sure you have a stable connection before attempting to upgrade.
