Microsoft is currently giving the finishing touches to what could be the very Microsoft Lumia device on the market, as the company has recently decided to drop the Nokia brand and launch its own for increased focus on the mobile business.

In the last few days, we've reported several times that a so-called RM 1090 device wearing Microsoft's branding could hit the market in China, and despite Redmond's intention to remain tight-lipped on this particular device, we already know pretty much everything about it.

And unsurprisingly, more information reaches the web through unofficial channels, revealing that the RM 1090 device we've already talked about in the last few days could actually launch in more countries across the world as Microsoft Lumia 535.

Today's speculation comes from NokiaPowerUser, who writes that Microsoft has already submitted dummy phones to India, which could be an indication that the company is readying a new device for emerging markets.
Could launch as Lumia 535

Zauba.com reveals recent import data of a possible Lumia 535 phone from China, which again could be a sign that the recently spotted device might actually be a model that Microsoft wants to use to compete in emerging markets against affordable Android phones.

At this point, this data shows that Microsoft submitted 2,500 dummy phones from China to India for a launch that could take place in the coming weeks. Dummy phones are specifically created to be used during presentations and to be placed inside stores for demo purposes.

Microsoft continues to keep all details secret, but there's absolutely no doubt that the launch of the very first Microsoft Lumia smartphone running Windows Phone is just around the corner.

Leaked specifications

According to leaked specifications of the RM 1090 device, the upcoming phone could come with a 5-inch screen and a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon processor paired with 1 GB of RAM. The 1900mAh battery should provide enough power for approximately 2 days, while the 5-megapixel camera would help you take decent photos with the phone.

Since the device would be specifically aimed at cheap Android devices, Microsoft would sell it at really low prices, with some sources suggesting that $100 (73 euro) price tag would be very likely.

At this point, China and India could be the main target for the new phone, but Microsoft is yet to disclose full details about it, so the only thing we can do right now is to wait a little bit longer until more information about this device is provided.
