It appears that the notch is here to stay and those who don't like it should reconcile to the idea that such a feature is now taking into consideration by many handset manufacturers as means to boost sales of their products. Thankfully, there are many new top-tier phones out there that come without a notch, so there are plenty of choices to choose from.

LG's upcoming high-end smartphone, the V40 ThinQ proudly wears its notch at the top of the display, which isn't really surprising considering the recent developments in the industry. More interesting is the fact that LG will follow another trend – that of having triple rear cameras on a phone.

The pictures allegedly showing off the LG V40 ThinQ from all angles confirm the device will actually feature a triple camera on the back and dual cameras on the front. Unlike the Mate 20 that has the camera island in the form of a square, the V40 ThinQ adopts a more traditional form factor and has all camera lined up horizontally.

Also, we can see that there's a small LED flash at the right of the camera row and a circular fingerprint sensor below. The phone looks pretty “edgy” with very slim bezels aside from the top part. Another important factor that weighs heavily when choosing a smartphone is the presence of a 3.5mm audio jack.

Well, it looks like LG has decided to keep the 3.5mm audio jack, and added a USB Type-C port for charging and connectivity purposes. The rest of the phone's specs are still a mystery, but we expect Snapdragon 845, P-OLED display and Android 9 Pie (maybe). One other thing that's worth noting is the date displayed on the phone's screen, November 16, might coincide with the date the phone will be unveiled.
