LG G4c Goes on Sale in Europe for €250 ($280)

Unveiled last month, the “exceptionally priced” LG G4c is now available for purchase in Europe. The smartphone was on pre-order for less than two weeks, but now customers can simply purchase it directly.

Although previous rumors claimed that LG G4c would start shipping on June 8, it looks like some retailers have been able to secure their stocks earlier.

As GSMArena points out, LG G4c is now available for purchase in the Netherlands via major retailer BelSimpel, which is selling it for €250 ($280) outright. That's not really an “exceptionally priced” smartphone considering its specs, but other retailers may sell it cheaper in the coming days.

The good news is LG G4c will ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system with LG Optimus UX 4.0 UI on top.
Its specs are a bit on the low side

The hardware is a bit disappointing considering the price. The smartphone is equipped with a 1.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, an Adreno 306 graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM.

There are only 8GB of storage inside, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot. LG G4c packs a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and 294ppi (pixel per inch).

The G4c is not a sleek smartphone, as it measures 139.7 x 69.8 x 10.2mm. It also weighs 136g (battery included), so it's a bit on the light side.

On the back, LG's mid-range smartphone features an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash, autofocus and video recording, while in the front there's a secondary 5-megapixel camera for video calls and selfies.

The 2,540 mAh battery hasn't been rated by the manufacturer, but we do know that it's removable. Last but not least, it's worth mentioning the LG G4c lacks LTE support, but it does offer other connectivity options such as 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, microUSB 2.0, NFC (Near Field Communication) and GPS with AGPS.

I personally have been waiting for the LG G4, but I don't know anymore. The OneplusOne seems kinda tempting. Cheaper + huge memory + Cyanogenmod = Purrrdy Super. I must; however, applaud LG's move to add a 5mp on the front though and I have really gotten used to the buttons on the back :/

OnePlusOne would have been a good choice, but the LG G3 or Zenfone 2 are better choices over the OnePlusOne regardless, price point included.
I'm still looking at the G4 to replace my aging S3, for the simple fact the camera is superb for low light pics
