A while ago we reviewed the Lenovo Vibe X2 smartphone and found it to be a sleek, light smartphone with an interesting layered design.

At CES 2014 Lenovo came with a lot of new products and some of them were smartphones. So we saw the Chinese device maker roll out a new iteration of the handset we mentioned above.

Lenovo X2 Pro goes live

It’s called the Vibe X2 Pro, and like its predecessor, it boasts the same multi-layer look although this time Lenovo chose colors that aren't exactly complementary.

We have to admit we prefer the older versions, chromatically speaking. But anyhow, the Vibe X2 Pro arrives with a 5.3-inch IPS display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution.

The powerhouse of the device is an all-new 64-bit Snapdragon 615 chipset with 1.5GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU fitted with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card).

Lenovo has outfitted the handset with two cameras of the same capacity (13MP both in front and on the back) but the main one has LED flash.
Lenovo also unveiled a selfie accessory for the handset

The selfie camera doesn't have a flash unit, but Lenovo has taken care of this “inconvenience” by virtue of adding a cool flash accessory that plugs into the 3.5mm audio-jack in order to provide illumination via the 8 diffused LEDs.

The Lenovo Vibe X2 Pro’s measurements are 146.3 x 71 x 6.95 mm / 5.7 x 2.7 x 0.27 inches while is weight is that of 140 g / 0.3 lbs.The specification list is completed by LTE Cat.4 and Wi-Fi ac support.

The Lenovo Vibe X2 Pro will go on sale in April for an unnamed price. It will be available in Champagne Gold, Rock Pink and Electric Blue but most likely the Chinese device maker won’t market the device in the US.
