One of the largest mobile phone vendors, Lenovo, is looking to bring a Windows 10 Mobile to the market sometime this year. Few companies have announced Windows Phone this year, but fans hope they will be offered many more alternatives in the next couple of months.

The upcoming Lenovo smartphone hasn’t been confirmed yet, but Chinese blog ithome.com claims the device was shown by Microsoft representatives during a presentation about application design.
Judging by the size of the device, this looks more akin to a tablet than a phablet, but if Lenovo plans to make it a smartphone, it will sure include a 6-inch capacitive touchscreen display, at least.
Aside from its large size, we ca also see the touch-sensitive Windows button, but no additional keys are shown at the bottom of the phablet. That’s probably because this is just a prototype unit that needs some polishing before going on sale.
We also don’t have any details on the specs sheet, so we’re not sure whether this will be a mid- or high-end device. Also, there’s a high chance that the phablet will only be available for purchase in China, but take this as pure speculation for the time being.
Windows Phone market share in China is extremely low In other news, Lenovo has been very happy with the collaboration with Microsoft due to the popularity of its products running Windows 10.
The launch of a Windows 10 Mobile smartphone might be beneficial to Lenovo as well, even though the Windows Phone market share in China is terribly low.
A couple of high-profile Windows 10 Mobile handsets have already been announced earlier this year and should make their debut on the market very soon.
Acer Jade Prime, Alcatel Idol Pro 4, and HP Elite X3 are more than decent choices for those who don’t feel that Android, iOS, and BlackBerry answer their productivity needs. It remains to be seen whether or not Lenovo will bring its Windows 10 Mobile phablets to other markets as well.
