Chinese company Lenovo is likely to have a very busy summer when it comes to device launches. As the company is readying a Windows Phone handset which is expected to be released in the coming weeks, Lenovo has just confirmed a new launch event for June 25.

The launch event will take place in New Delhi, India, and judging by the invitations sent to local media, the smartphone that will be unveiled next week should be the K3 Note, fonearena notes.

The tagline “Note the date” is a clear indication that Lenovo plans to introduce its mid-range K3 Note in India as early as next week.

The smartphone is already available in China where it sells for around Rs 9,300 ($145 / €130), but it's unclear how much it will actually cost in India. We do know that Lenovo K3 Note will be available in two different color options: white and yellow.

Moving on to specs, Lenovo K3 Note will ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, along with Vibe UI on top.
Above average specs make it a more than decent choice

The hardware specs are more than decent considering the low price. For example, the K3 Note is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor, a Mali-T760 MP2 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

The phablet packs 16GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

There's also a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which features autofocus, dual-tone LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, while in the front there's a secondary 5-megapixel camera for video calls and selfies.

As the name suggests, Lenovo K3 Note boasts a large 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.

Other highlights of the phone include 4G LTE support, dual-SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with AGPS, microUSB 2.0 and FM Radio. Also, a 3,000 mAh battery keeps the lights up.
