Jailbreak 6.1.3 iOS 6.1.4 Evasion Status And Upcoming iOS 7 Untethered Solution
iOS 6.1.4 Untethered Jailbreak 6.1.3 Evasion Status, Upcoming iOS 7 Solution – Since Apple’s iPhone 5-exclusive release of iOS 6.1.4 last week on May 2nd, the staff of Evasion Jailbreak have been flooded with a number of questions related to iOS 6.1.4, the new firmware’s jailbreak status and whether there’s a 6.1.3 untethered jailbreak, which is currently the latest version of iOS for all devices, excluding the iPhone 5. In today’s post, we’ll reference past reports from Evasi0n that contain the latest and most recent jailbreak information for all devices. However, before we begin, it’s crucial to understand one thing: we are in no way associated with the developers and hackers who create and release jailbreak utilities. We are Evasion iOS Jailbreak 6.1.3 Tutorials: a blog dedicated to providing its readers with the best tutorials and the most accurate jailbreak-related information available on the web.
As another precursor, we’ll highlight exactly which firmware can be jailbroken on what devices. The latest public firmware that can be jailbroken across all devices is iOS 6.1.2. Users can employee the evasi0n UnTethered iOS 6 jailbreak utility to successfully achieve root access and install Cydia on the following devices: the iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad mini, iPod touch 5G and the iPod touch 4G – Evasion also functions on iOS 6, 6.0.1, 6.0.2, 6.1, 6.1.1 and 6.1.2.
Unfortunately, on March 18th Apple released iOS 6.1.3 for all iPhone, iPad and iPod touch models, effectively patching the evasi0n untethered jailbreak. However, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 4G owners can still jailbreak the firmware using a simple redsn0w workaround.
With that said, the same holds true for iOS 6.1.4, iPhone 5 models that have updated to the latest firmware cannot be jailbroken until the developers release the next major jailbreak tool, which brings us to our next point. While both the evad3rs (the small group of hackers behind evasion’s development) and p0sixninja (quondam leader of the Chronic Dev Team and an instrumental contributor to the development of numerous past jailbreak utilities) have both confirmed their active work in the creation of future jailbreaks, they won’t release anything to the public until the days of iOS 7.
In past articles, we’ve discussed why the developers are delaying the release of new jailbreak tools at length. In short, iOS 6.1.3 and 6.1.4 simply aren’t substantial enough updates to warrant the use of numerous vulnerabilities that have taken the developers weeks and months to discover, only to have the jailbreak swiftly patched by Apple. Therefore, to ensure maximum software and device compatibly, the hackers plan on waiting until after Apple issues iOS 7 to the public before releasing anything.
