The launch of Apple’s new iPhone SE is just around the corner, and yet, what we've gotten until now are contradictory reports regarding the new phone’s design and hardware.

A new report coming from 9to5mac and citing sources close to the matter reveals that the iPhone SE will be nothing more than an upgraded version of the iPhone 5s, so it’ll have pretty much the same look as the old model.
This means that there are only small chances for the iPhone SE to come with a curved screen and rounded shape, but more with a boxy design that would remind of the iPhone SE. Furthermore, we should expect the device to feature rounded volume buttons, plus a lock button on the top, and not on the side, as is the case with newer iPhones.
Overall, the iPhone SE will be extremely similar to the 5s but will come with what the source describes as very slightly curved edges. It’ll still sport a headphone jack, so if Apple is indeed planning to make the switch to a Lightning connector that would also be used for audio, it would only do that with the iPhone 7 coming this fall.
New hardware under the hood Even if it features the look of an older model, the iPhone SE will come with the hardware of the iPhone 6s, and this includes the A9 and M9 chips, Hey Siri support, NFC, and a 12-megapixel camera with 4k video recording capabilities.
There will be just two different storage options for the iPhone SE, and customers will be allowed to choose either 16 GB or 64 GB. Pricing will start at $450 (€380) for the cheaper model, although some analysts have said that it’s more likely to begin at $550 (€460).
The unveiling will take place on March 21, when Apple is also expected to present a new iPad, plus new Watch bands created with exquisite partners from around the world.
