Chinese regulator TENAA has just certified a new Huawei handset with the model numbers of ARS-TL00 and ARS-AL00. The former is the white colored variant, while the latter is the same phone dressed in black. The device is similar to the Honor 8X Max in most regards, including the 7.12-inch LCD screen on board, carrying a 1080 x 2244 resolution. One change will apparently be under the hood. While the Honor 8X Max is equipped with a Snapdragon 636 Mobile Platform running at 1.8GHz, the chipset on the new device runs at a clock speed of 1.95GHz.

Huawei is stuffing the new phone with a large 4900mAh battery, and a photo of the back of the ARS-TL00 reveals a leather covered rear, including the stitching. The phone will be equipped with a vertically mounted dual camera setup (16MP + 2MP) with an 8MP selfie snapper found in front. A fingerprint scanner also adorns the back.

The TENAA certifications also reveal that the ARS-TL00/ARS-AL00 will carry 4GB of RAM and feature 64GB/128GB of native storage. Android 8.1 Oreo will be pre-installed. And if you look closely at the picture showing the front screen, you can see that the new phone will have a waterdrop notch on the display.
