Last month, Sprint's version of the HTC U11 flagship phone received Android 8.0 via an OTA update. Now, thanks to a tweet from HTC's vice president of product management Mo Versi, we know that Sprint subscribers with the HTC 10 have also started receiving the update to Android 8.0. The nation's fourth largest carrier disseminated the update starting this past Monday, February 12th.

Among the features coming to Sprint's HTC 10 with the Oreo update is picture-in-picture. This allows users to watch a video in a floating window while they are using an app in the background. Quick Settings has been changed so that it can be customized, and certain icons have moved to the bottom of the screen so they can easily be reached on devices with huge screens. With adaptive icons, the same app can have different icon shapes on two different handsets. And notification dots appear on the icon of apps that have a notification that has yet to be attended to.

Once you receive the notification that your HTC 10 has received the Android 8.0 update, make sure that you are connected to a Wi-Fi network before starting the updating process. At the same time, you need to have your battery fully charged before installing Android Oreo on the phone.
