After launching the One A9 smartphone in global markets, HTC had launched the One X9 in China two months ago. It wasn't clear whether the device would be launched elsewhere at the time, since the device was spotted mostly on Chinese websites prior to launch.
Now, the Taiwanese smartphone maker has announced at Mobile World Congress 2016, that the premium, mid-range smartphone will be made available in more regions toward the end of February. These new markets will include countries from Europe, Middle East, Africa and North Asia.
The HTC One X9 borrows some of its design from the company's flagship smartphone while bringing a new front design that accomodates the BoomSound speakers which were dropped from the One A9. Under the hood, the smartphone seems to be a capable mid-ranger with a spec-sheet that reads as below:

• 5.5-inch 2.5D curved IPS LCD screen with 1080p resolution
• MediaTek Helio X10 octa-core 2.2 GHz processor
• 3GB RAM
• 32GB internal storage, expandable via microUSB slot
• 5MP front camera; 13MP rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization and dual LED flash
• 3000 mAh battery
• Dimensions: 153.2 x 75.9 x 7.99 mm
• 174 grams

HTC has not revealed the pricing of the smartphone as it may vary by market, but customers can expect it to be priced in the $400 to $500 bracket, similar to the One A9.

@Pact this is not the successor of HTC One M9 right? I'm due for an upgrade and my M8 served me well for the last 2 years, but i was expecting M10 to hit the markets in the next couple of months

Nah it's not and i agree the M8 is great i used it for couple months than i had to switch to Iphone
