The HTC One M8 Google Play Edition will most likely receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow pretty soon. Mo Versi, the Vice President, Product Manager at HTC, was asked on Twitter if the HTC M8 GPE will receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update and he replied that the device will be upgraded to the latest Android OS and they are trying to release it this month (October 2015).

With other words, before the end of October, we will most likely see the Android 6.0 Marshmallow running on the HTC One M8 Google Play Edition.
It is good to know that there are other HTC Android smartphones that will receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow, but this will most likely happen sometime by the end of 2015.

The Android 6.0 Marshmallow will surely be released for other devices from HTC that are capable to run this new operating system. We remind you that HTC released two high-end smartphones this year, the HTC One M9 and HTC One M9 Plus. These two devices will surely receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow, but at the same time, there are other devices that will probably get it, such as the HTC One M7 (2013) or other mid-range devices that have been released in the mid of 2014.

Huawei has confirmed that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow will be released for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow but they didn’t give an exact date when this will happen. The Honor 6, Honor 6 Plus and Ascend Mate 7 are also waiting to be upgraded to the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, and most likely, this will happen in the Q1 of 2016.

OnePlus will release the Android 6.0 Marshmallow to its OnePlus 2 device along with its HydrogenOS or OxygenOS. According to previous reports, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow will be released for the OnePlus devices sometime in 2016.
According to Gadgets 360, Asus will release the Android 6.0 Marshmallow firstly for its ZenFone Selfie, ZenFone 2 Deluxe and ZenFone 2 Laser. After that, they will most likely bring this new OS to the ZenFone 6, ZenFone 5 and ZenFone 4.
The Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS comes with many new features such as Doze – a power saver mode, memory manager, fingerprint scanning, Google Now on Tap and many more.
