Google’s gone and released another update for the Nexus 5. Before you rejoice and run to your Nexus 5 settings page, however, you should know two things: 1) it’s only for a few users worldwide, and 2) it’s the smallest update we’ve seen for the Nexus 5 since the phone’s arrival 9 months ago.

First, the Nexus 5 update places Australia, India, and New Zealand Nexus 5 users on Android 4.4.4 KitKat. The Android 4.4.4 KitKat update was meant to patch up some security loopholes in Android, but for Australia, India, and New Zealand Android users, it’ll bring you another treat – an improved radio experience. The update will take you from build number KTU84P (Android 4.4.4) to KTU84Q (Android 4.4.4_r2).

Last but not least, the update is only 2MB, nothing to drive you to root your device for. All Nexus 5 users in India will see the update, but only 2Degrees Nexus 5 customers in New Zealand and Telsa Australia customers will see the new update in their respective places.
