If Safari isn’t exactly your cup of tea, but you’re drooling over 3D Touch support in your browser, this is probably the best news for you today: Google has just updated Chrome browser on iOS, and among the new features, there’s also support for Apple’s signature 3D Touch feature.

Previously available in the testing versions of the Chrome browser, 3D Touch support in Google’s application is now publicly offered to all users, thus making it possible to access specific features a little bit faster than before.
For example, you can simply press harder on the Chrome icon to launch voice search, open a new tab, or directly go to a new incognito tab without having to first start the application.
While these options certainly come in handy, they’re not as advanced as Safari’s, where you can see the reading list and bookmarks, open a new tab or a private tab.
Obviously, this is just the beginning for Chrome browser and 3D Touch, but it’s still good to see Google looking into this feature, so expect future versions to come with even more improvements in this regard. 3D Touch is slowly but surely gaining ground right now, and more devs seem to discover the benefits of its feature and implement it into their apps.
The new Chrome version is available in the store, so make sure you run the latest version to get 3D Touch support.
