A new set of renders appear to show off Samsung’s Galaxy A6+ in full. It has been rumored for some time now that Samsung would be launching a new Galaxy A series of devices to be sold alongside the more expensive Galaxy A8 line. And, after a number of previous leaks, this latest set of renders reveals the design of the Galaxy A6+ from a number of new angles.

Confirming previous rumors, the front panel of the device is adorned by Samsung’s trademark 18:9 panel, which ultimately means the removal of the physical home button and coincides with the design language seen on the Galaxy A8 series. Looking at the rear, however, and the resemblances end altogether. Instead, the device now takes design cues from a number of Galaxy J handsets, with an aluminum construction and the company’s signature antenna bands. Furthermore, also confirmed by the images are a number of color options, with Samsung’s new smartphone set to be available in both black and gold colors, as well as a new electric blue variant, which will most likely replace the Blue Mist color seen on some of last year’s Samsung devices.

The new Galaxy A6+ is expected to launch alongside the regular Galaxy A6 later on in the year. In regards to internals, the Exynos 7870 is set to power the lower-cost Galaxy A6, while Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 will be present inside the Plus variant. Also, in terms of memory, the former will come equipped with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, while the latter will boast 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. In the camera department, there will also be one major difference, with the Galaxy A6+ gaining access to a secondary shooter.

Samsung is so far yet to make an official comment in regards to the upcoming lineup, but considering the Galaxy J-inspired design language that is present in the renders, it appears previous rumors were true. After all, it has recently been claimed that the Galaxy A6 line would simply be rebranded Galaxy J8 and J8+ models for certain markets.
