We already know a whole bunch of stuff about the upcoming OnePlus 2 smartphone, like the fact that the new phone will arrive into the wild on July 27 featuring a USB Type-C port and 4GB of RAM.

While some of its specifications have been made public, we haven’t been told anything about the cameras that will be embedded in the OnePlus 2. However, popular YouTube tech blogger Marques Brownlee received an advance unit of the upcoming OnePlus 2, which he already started testing.

So he posted a YouTube video showcasing some of the images he allegedly shot using the rear camera on the yet-to-be-announced Chinese flagship. The images can be found in the gallery below, which also includes a comparison that shows how well the OnePlus Clear View feat works on the OnePlus 2.

Brownlee also posted a photograph at 4160 x 3120 resolution, indicating that the main snapper on the OnePlus 2 is of the 13MP variety. The aperture of the camera is f/2.0, which means the unit should be capable of snapping decent photographs even in low lighting conditions.
OnePlus 2 spec roundup

If you missed the scoop around the OnePlus 2, we’re taking the opportunity to remind you that the phone will arrive with a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor fitted with 4GB of RAM.

The company will utilize a revised version of the Snapdragon 810, which apparently doesn’t suffer from the same overheating issues that have been plaguing the SoC ever since its inception.

The company’s next flagship will also be the beneficiary of a fingerprint scanner. As OnePlus points out, an average person will check their phone more than 200 times a day, so it’s much easier to use such an authentication system instead of having to enter a PIN number or a pattern.

Last but not least, OnePlus’ CEO Pete Lau has promised fans that OnePlus 2 would be priced under $450 / €408. However, he did not explain whether he was talking about the base price for the handset or the 64GB version.
