Samsung Galaxy Note 9 units won't start shipping until this Friday (August 24), but we've already seen two OTA firmware updates for the phone. The first one, pushed last week, added a toggle for different Super Slow-Mo recording times in the camera app, allowing users to switch between 0.2s or 0.4s, which may not sound like much, but amounts to 6-8 seconds of slowed-down footage.

Earlier today, Samsung rolled out another update for the Galaxy Note 9, bringing up the firmware of the phone to the final retail version. The firmware carries version number N960NKSU1ARH5 and is based on Android 8.1 Oreo with the latest security patch for the August 2018. It was released for the Korean variant of the Note 9, but should be available in other regions as well in time for the launch of the flagship.

Pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 are live, but units will start shipping out this Friday, August 24. That's also when the phone will hit store shelves.
