If you've been a faithful Fallout Shelter player for all the months since Bethesda launched it on Android and iOS, you will be overjoyed to learn that the newest update brings lots of new gameplay features and improvements.

As developers put it, you will now be able to “invigorate your Fallout Shelter underground community with the biggest update yet.” And truly, this is a major update that adds so many things that it will take you a while to go through all the new features announced by Bethesda.
One of the most important new features included in this update is crafting. Players will now be able to turn worthless junk into useful items.
Aside from that, developers have let us know they have included some new rooms like Weapon and Armor crafting rooms, which can be used to create your own items in the game.
For those who prefer to gear up faster by purchasing many Lunchboxes, Bethesda has announced that they have added a bonus 5th card: Junk. According to developers, the card is much more useful than it sounds, and lucky wasteland explorers will be able to find junk on their adventures as well.
Change the look of your Dwellers by visiting the Barbershop A new Barbershop room will be available where players can customize the look of any Dwellers in their underground shelter. Also, new outfits and weapons from Fallout 4 lunchboxes have been added. They can also be crafted by players.
Another major improvement is the addition of more four-legged companions like dogs and cats, but Bethesda has also brought parrots and new pet bonuses.
Last but not least, the official changelog mentions that the time of day will now be properly reflected in the game since developers want to provide players with an “authentic Vault simulation.”
If you don't have the game yet, you can now download Fallout Shelter for Android for free via Google Play Store. The game should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 4.1 and up.
For iOS users, the title is free to download via App Store. It should work smoothly on all handsets running iOS 7.0 or later.
