The year of 2016 has been a huge one for budget Android smartphones, and while the competition certainly got much more intensive than we've ever seen, there's one company that's been creating budget Android handsets for a number of years now. That company goes by the name of BLU, and the Florida-based manufacturer has been kicking out wallet-friendly smartphones since as early as 2009. BLU certainly has made a name for itself over the past few years, and starting today, the company is finally entering the UK with their latest smartphone - the BLU Vivio 6.

At first glance, the Vivo 6 is a rather attractive handset. The phone is made out of aircraft grade aluminum that's available in both Gold and Rose Gold color options, and although it may not be the most unique-looking device around, the craftsmanship being touted here certainly is impressive - especially for the asking price. The front of the Vivo 6 boasts a 5.5-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, and that panel is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for maximum protection against scratches and cracks. And, as a nice value-add, a fingerprint sensor lives directly below that display.

The Vivo 6 is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 chipset that's clocked at 1.8GHz, 4GB of RAM for smooth multi-tasking, and 64GB of expandable storage via microSD helps to ensure that you'll never run out of storage for all of your apps, games, and more. Rounding out the spec list is a 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, 3130 mAh battery, dual-SIM support, USB Type-C, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

BLU is selling the phone now through Amazon UK, and although it will feature a normal retail price of £239.99 from November 26 and beyond, you can currently pick it up on Black Friday (November 25) for just £184.99 - equivalent of $196.04 USD. That's a great deal for this high quality of a phone, but the company could be looking at a tough sell after the recent lawsuit they got hit with. If that doesn't bother you though and you're interested in the handset, now is the time to buy before it reverts back to its regular price of £239.99.
