You might probably remember that BlackBerry showed off an interesting device for a minute or two back at MWC 2015 in Barcelona last month.

The device was dubbed the BlackBerry 10 Slider by the media, but an official name wasn’t yet available back then. Word on the street also had it that the new phone would feature a dual-curved display.

Well, the Russian folks of Mobile Telefon have managed to get their hands on a bunch of images showcasing the upcoming BlackBerry device. Apparently, the phone has been codenamed Venice and is set to arrive with a curved screen design after all, plus a front-facing speaker at the bottom of the device.

We’re also treated to a few specs related to the BlackBerry Venice. For starters, the handset should arrive with a 5.1-inch display with 1440 x 2560 (QHD) resolution and take advantage of an octa-core CPU, although its origins haven’t been revealed. In all possibility, we might be looking at the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 or 820 here.

Moving on, the phone bundles a 16MP rear-facing camera plus a 5MP frontal snapper and draws life from a 3,650 mAh battery.

We currently don’t have an exact date for when Venice will launch, although we’re told it should make a debut this fall.
