Similar to the Razer Phone, ASUS has also been reported to unveil a gaming-centered smartphone that will be able to offer exceptional performance while engaged in demanding Android-based gaming titles. The Taiwanese manufacturer is expected to make an appearance during the MWC 2018 trade show, and it is possible that the device is showcased at this very event.

ASUS Gaming Smartphone Could Be Branded Under the Company’s ROG Lineup of Products

ASUS has employed the use of several engineering methods to keep the cooling systems of the power-hungry processors impressive while keeping the chassis of its gaming notebooks down to a minimum. The manufacturer was able to display this with the release of the ROG ZEPHYRUS, an extremely portable gaming machine that houses a Max-Q version of the NVIDIA GTX 1080.

Using off-the-shelf components such as the Snapdragon 845, ASUS is also going to be employing an impressive cooling system in the phone so that the processor of the SoC continues to run at maximum frequencies without throttling. We also expect that the company is going to be taking design cues from the Razer Phone.

This might include a non-bezel-less design, which will allow ASUS to accommodate high-quality speakers. It is also possible that the upcoming smartphone employs a large battery, hefty amounts of RAM, ample internal storage and fingers-crossed, a headphone jack, which was surprisingly missing from the Razer Phone.

The display of the ASUS gaming smartphone could also boast a high refresh rate although that will mean the company will have to stick with LCD panel technology. We could also see the company partnering with several game developing companies that will release future gaming titles that will be catered specifically towards this gaming smartphone.

There is very little information available this time so when MWC 2018 kicks, we will be updating you with the latest details.
