Apps To Jailbreak Your Android Phone

How to Jailbreak or Root any Android phone guides shows that rooting an Android device is a simple affair if you have the proper application. Before you download a rooting app and jail break your Android phone, a word of caution, make sure the rooting app supports your device. If you are not 100% certain of it, do not try to root your phone, you may be left with a non responsive device with a void warranty.

Enough of playing spoil sport, here are the apps that can help you root or jail break an Android phone or tablet.

    1. Universal 1-Click Root

Uses an well known exploit to root. Does not work on Android versions 2.2.1 or above.

    2. Easier 1-2-3 Droid 2 Root

This is a desktop based rooting application. It works on Windows/Linux/Mac. You have to download the program, connect your device to the computer and run the software to root.

    3. z4Root

It changes the root binaries to do it’s magic. You have to download and install it on your phone to root.

    4. SuperOneClick Root

The best rooting application ever. Works all the time. The software works on Windows/Linux. You have to download it to your computer, connect your phone and root it.

SuperOneClick root may not work for this phone, some of the time. Here is another way to root this phone. This method is easy and can work on both Windows and Linux. I am providing the guide + rooting utility + drivers for the Windows specific method.

    1. First step is to download the drivers from HERE

    2. Install the drivers.

    3. Download the rooting utility from HERE

    4. Extract the zip files in to a folder.

    5. On your phone go to

Settings->Application->Development and check the “USB Debugging” option.

    6. Connect the phone to your computer using a USB cable and wait for it to be detected. Now go to the folder in you created in your computer after extracting the zip file you downloaded from step 3.

    7. Run the file “run.bat” by clicking on it. It should push superuser.apk on to your phone , root it and than reboot it.

    Troubleshooting

Some times your phone will get stuck in a loop and will not reboot, if this happens, disconnect your phone and reboot it manually.

Superuser.apk may not get installed for various reason and the root will not stick or work, if this happens, disconnect your phone, reboot it and go to Android Market, download Superuser and install it on your phone. Now repeat step 7.
