iPhone + JailBreak, MAKE the iPhone the best smartPhone in the world.. If you have an iPhone and do not have jailbreak, you are using the iphone on a wrong way! you can download everything (ALL App Store app's) for free on cydia, appVV, appAddict etc..
Android market are full of crap and many many bad stuff.
i know because i have both, and i can say, iPhone with jailbreak beat any other smartphone in the world.. if you spend money only to make use of SMS and call your friends then you are using it on a wrong way and one NOKIA 3310 can fulfill your requirements xD
Please note that, iPhone build this imperium from the ground, android just limited to copy

My vote goes to Android , especially Nexus 5 and upcoming Nexus 6 for around $350 and new IPhone $700 or more ,well i take 2 for the price of 1 any time

Yes you might be right but not everyone can drop over $700 for iphone ,like i said i take Nexus 5 over iphone and keep $350 in my pocket

buy one on the black market and yes you are right, iphone is not cheap, but for sure if you are a '' software maniac'' you should have one, even an ipod have se same capability to suport all the software, and its cheaper apple need to change its market. and they have started with the 5c
