Nokia "Bravo" gets certified by FCC, could be heading to Latin America
Previously, it has been stated that HMD Global has plans for both a new Snapdragon 845-powered flagship and a premium device that will ship with the Snapdragon 710 on the inside. However, if a recent FCC filing is anything to go by, the Finnish company may have yet another smartphone in the works, although this looks set to be a new budget offering.
The documents in question list the smartphone under the model number TA-1120, although hidden within the listing are various screenshots from the smartphone that reveal a number of other details, such as its internal codename of “Bravo.” In addition to this, the images also reveal the presence of 32GB of storage and stock Android 8.1 Oreo, as well as a 16:9 display aspect ratio, thus confirming the smartphone’s budget nature.
As with most FCC filings, extremely detailed references to the smartphone’s connectivity capabilities are included, with these ones confirming the presence of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and LTE support. Interestingly, however, no NFC chip seems to have included, although this move could be related to cost-cutting measures in the hope of keeping the price down.
At this moment in time, it’s unclear how HMD Global will choose to brand this smartphone upon launch, but it’s worth pointing out that the label provided within the listing reveals that it’s aimed at the Latin American region and will include dual-SIM support. If accurate, this suggests that another recent filling related to the TA-1112 is actually just a single-SIM variant of the Nokia “Bravo.”
