Last week, we told you that Samsung has started distributing the Android 7.0 Nougat beta update for the S7 edge to participants in the UK via the Galaxy Beta Program, but it seems that the servers for the beta have subsequently been cut off. Now, however, a screenshot from Samsung's website is telling us why this might have happened.

Android 7.0 Nougat update beta for Galaxy S7/edge coming November 9
It looks like the Nougat beta will be available for download on November 9, and the program will run until some time in mid December. After that, we can expect the official Android 7.1 Nougat update to start rolling out to the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge globally. Previously, it was rumored that Samsung will be one of the first big Android phone makers to have its flagships updated to Android 7.0, and it seems that the company is indeed on course to start the update by year's end. The update will bring the new Grace UX, the Always-on display from the Note 7, and the enhanced Doze mode, so there is plenty to look forward to.

To get the pre-release Nougat on your S7 or S7 edge, you have to sign up via the Galaxy Beta Program app in the Play Store, and Samsung has to approve you for the download, but once November 9th comes, we are certain that plenty of beta testers will start flaunting the goods via screenshots and video walkthtoughs, so we'll keep you in the loop.
