What's with Chinese phone makers and notch-y phones these days? Granted, not even one first or second-tier manufacturer has put out a popular retail device with a screen cutout at the top, but there are plenty of leaks for ones in the works, and the latest comes for none other but OnePlus, everyone's favorite viral marketer of a phone maker.

What you are seeing below, coming from the wide prairies of the Chinese tech blogosphere, which is known for manufactured leaks, is supposedly a OnePlus 6 prototype, meaning that we may or may not see this design in the phone's final form. It's a known fact, however, that OnePlus designs are loosely based on models of another phone maker in its parent company conglomerate - Oppo - and the upcoming Oppo R13 is said to house a notch at the top as well, so where there is smoke, there might be fire, too.

The pictures you see below have subsequently been deleted by the blogger that posted them, but the cat is out of the bag already, and we are noting what could be a glass back to aid wireless charging, a P7819 model number, an elliptical finger scanner underneath a dual camera set, just like on the Galaxy S9+, and an Essential Phone-esque cutout at the top of the screen to house the earpiece and the front camera.

Well, it's narrower than on the iPhone X, but wider than on the Essential Phone, so OnePlus may be doing their own thing here. The phone runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo, and has 6GB/64GB memory configuration, which, for the OnePlus standards, could be the basic edition of its next 6 flagship, or whatever it gets called.
